Pot and Kettle; Log and Sawdust.
Going off of a previous entry about posting things directed at certain people, I felt that I really needed to share this with all of you. The reason why is because I've definitely had to learn to bite my tongue when talking about others while giving myself the benefit of the doubt. Reading all of these quotes has humbled me and made me realize that I need to apply this with everyone I meet.
“Time and time again does the pride of man influence his very own fall. While denying it, one gradually starts to believe that he is the authority, or that he possesses great moral dominion over others, yet it is spiritually unwarranted. By that point he loses steam; in result, he falsely begins trying to prove that unwarranted dominion by seizing the role of a condemner.” ― Criss Jami, Salomé: In Every Inch In Every Mile
"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." - John Kenneth Galbraith
"We have a tendency to condemn people who are different from us, to define their sins as paramount and our own sinfulness as being insignificant." - Jimmy Carter
"Who are you to condemn another's sin? He who condemns sin becomes part of it, espouses it." - Georges Bernanos
"Before you judge me take a look at you. Can't you find something better to do? Point the finger, slow to understand, arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand." - Metallica, "Holier than Thou"

“You want to remember that while you're judging the book, the book is also judging you.” ― Stephen King, Night Shift
“When it comes to privacy and accountability, people always demand the former for themselves and the latter for everyone else.” ― David Brin
“Confidence that one's impressions are God-given is no guarantee that this is really so, even when they persist and grow stronger through long seasons of prayer. Bible-based wisdom must judge them.” ― J.I. Packer
“Perhaps, if you weren't so busy regarding my shortcomings, you'd find that I do possess redeeming qualities, discreet as they may be. I notice when the sky is blue. I smile down at children. I laugh at any innocent attempt at humor. I quietly carry the burdens of others as though they were my own. And I say 'I'm sorry' when you don't. I am not without fault, but I am not without goodness either.” ― Richelle E. Goodrich
